Water.org is working to change the lives of nearly 890 million people without safe water and the more than 2.5 billion people without safe sanitation. Our work saves lives, restores dignity, and leads to economic and social revival in the developing world.
So why Matt? Matt is a long-time advocate for safe water issues and together with Gary White co-founded Water.org. You may not know Gary, but if you’re trying to find someone who has devoted his entire professional life to the water cause, he is on the short list. Since grad school over twenty years ago, Gary has been working to bring safe water to those in need.
There is a tragic side to the crisis as well. Every 15 seconds, a child in the developing world dies from water-related disease – and worse yet, it is entirely preventable. Join us in our quest to make a difference. For only $25 someone can have water for life. How can you help? Get informed, donate, and spread the word. How far will you go?

In July, Matt and Gary visited project sites in Tamil Nadu, India. The Students of the World project team filmed a short documentary of that work which was funded by the PepsiCo Foundation and is working to restore safe water and build latrines in rural and urban slums.
