Experience Highlights

Dasari joined Ashok Leyland as its Chief Operating Officer in April 2005. He was elected as a member of the Board of Directors in May 2008.

Prior to Ashok Leyland, Dasari was Joint Managing Director of Cummins India Limited.

Dasari commenced his career with the General Electric Company in 1986. After completing his MBA in 1992, he joined the Timken Company. He moved to Timken’s Indian operations as Director of Manufacturing and Technology. In 1998, he was appointed Managing Director of Timken India. In 2000, he moved back to US with Timken as President of the Global Railroad business, before joining Cummins India in 2002. In his role at Timken, both in India and USA, Dasari is credited with bringing about significant changes in these organizations and leading them into profitability after a period of sustained losses.

Dasari also serves on the Boards of Automotive Coaches & Components Limited, Gulf Ashley Motor Limited, Gulf Oil Corporation Limited, Irizar-TVS Limited and Ashok Leyland UAE LLC.
