Commitment to Water.org
"I came face to face with the world's water crisis when I traveled to Ecuador on a Service-Learning Trip. It was disheartening to see how people lived – I remember being shocked that most houses did not have running water or a bathroom. I expected this, but the reality of not having something so basic was confusing. During our time there my team dug trenches for clean water pipes in order to connect the local schools to the water tower. This experience really made me appreciate the infrastructure we have in place here and the people who worked so hard to make it before I was born.
I was very excited to learn about Water.org and to have the incredible opportunity to work for an organization that makes a real impact on peoples' lives. I feel honored to contribute and help people across the world gain access to safe water, sanitation, and a chance to thrive."
