Claire provides support to the Global Advocacy team at Water.org. Her primary focus is on public affairs and ensuring cohesiveness and collaboration between Global Advocacy and other pillars of the organization. Claire comes to Water.org after 6 years of organizing in the Missouri political world. She is originally from St. Louis, but came to Kansas City after college to serve as the KC and Mid-Missouri Field Organizer with PROMO, Missouri’s LGBT advocacy organization. After PROMO, Claire began organizing and coordinating for labor unions across the state. In these positions she assisted local union leaders in creating strong, sustaining relationships within their communities and the MO legislature. Prior to joining Water.org, Claire continued to develop relationships in MO and KS through advocacy, public affairs, and lobbying for working families and economic and social justice.
"I am thrilled to join an organization that seeks to empower individuals to change and better their own lives across the world. Women's rights, and basic human rights, are what brought me into political and advocacy communities. The work that Water.org does to help women, children, and families lead full lives where they are able to hold jobs, go to school, and live healthy is remarkable. I am thankful to work here and be a part of this community."
