Toufiq Islam

Toufiq brings 15 years of experience to Water.org in administrative management with roles including organizational liaison with governments, logistics and procurement, and human resources management. Toufiq's expertise in working with the Nongovernmental Organization (NGO) Affairs Bureau and varying security agencies will be invaluable in his role as Administrative Officer in our Bangladesh office. He comes to Water.org from Action for Enterprise (AFE) Bangladesh, a US-based NGO where he served as the Assistant Manager of Administration. Prior to AFE, Toufiq worked in administrative management capacities for various organizations in Dhaka including CM International Immigration Service, Oriental Service/Group and Sheba Manab Kallyan Kendra, a local NGO.

Commitment to Water.org

People in villages and urban areas are suffering from disease due to a lack of access to safe water and sanitation. Water.org is effectively working to address the water crisis and promotes high-quality, sustainable, community-based water and sanitation solutions that ensure easy access to safe water and sanitation.

Joining the Water.org team provides me the opportunity to engage in work that benefits my country people. I plan to provide my best administrative, logistic and procurement support to Water.org so they are a success in implementing programs in Bangladesh.
