Commitment to Water.org
"I had the opportunity to work several years in the peri-urban areas of Lima Peru, where there is poverty, but at the same time a great spirit of development, and desire to get ahead. I worked in areas without water and sewer systems and was able to see the before and after of a family who financed their bathroom; the pride of the family who took out the loan, and became an example in their neighborhood, their community. I saw the joy on the faces of children and teens who gained access to better sanitation facilities and privacy, and how many lives were impacted by access to water and sanitation. It changes the way you see things.
Working at Water.org will advance the efforts to improve access to water and sanitation at a national level in Peru and, eventually, to a regional scale in South America."
