As Chief Financial Officer, Jay oversees the finances of the organization to ensure all financial aspects and decisions of the business are accurate, responsible, and fiscally sound. Prior to joining Water.org, Jay led the financial activities of organizations like Earthjustice and Human Rights Watch. He started his nonprofit career with the Washington Office on Latin America and served as an Economic Development volunteer with the Peace Corps in Honduras.

Jay centers his teams on the belief that the primary role of finance is to clear the path out in front of others. At Water.org, Jay works to ensure that everyone upholds their fiduciary responsibilities to our impact and our precious donor dollars through managing risk, optimizing spending, and providing strategic insights to help leaders make smart decisions.
