Hope for the future

Mr. and Mrs. Nagalakshmi live in the Villupuram District of Tamil Nadu, India with their three children, two sons and a daughter. In her lifetime, Mrs. Nagalakshmi's main ambition was to see all of her children attend school and graduate from college.

Their house did not have a toilet and the practice of open defecation was embarrassing and time-consuming for her children, making it hard for them to attend school. Mrs. Nagalakshmi joined a Self Help Group organized by Water.org's local partner BWDA and learned about how a toilet could help her family's health and save time. With a small loan, she was able to install a toilet in her home. She said, "Now our children feel very happy and are able to save their time, especially in the morning when they get ready to go to school."

By giving to Water.org this holiday season, you can give others the chance to achieve their dreams. Thank you!
