Protecting the Poor, Building a Resilient Community

Water.org takes part in ASKI’s 30th Anniversary Celebration with a Theme of Protecting the Poor, Building a Resilient Community

Water.org Philippines joined Alalay sa Kaunlaran Inc. (ASKI) Group of Companies in celebrating their 30th Anniversary on March 9, 2017 in Palayan City, Nueva Ecija. With a crowd of more than 1500 clients, the event featured a video presentation featuring the water and sanitation situation in the Philippines and how the partnership between the two organizations has made the WASH loan possible for its growing number of clients.

The video showcased clients who shared their experiences on how their WASH loans made their lives easier, their children healthier, and their communities a better place to live in. Select WASH clients also presented a group dance presentation to lend additional festivity to the celebration.

The event also paved way for a short update on the progress of ASKI and Water.org’s partnership as it reached more than 4,700 clients last month. Water.org’s WaterCredit Officer, Ms. Carl Bailey, asked the crowd to join them in the upcoming World Water Day Celebration by sharing what they saw with their family and friends so that they too can transform their lives through WASH loans.
