Pramila told the loan officers at ESAF how tense the situations would get while she waited in line for water. People would get angry when they had to walk long distances and wait for extended periods of time. When someone tried to skip ahead in line, physical fights or verbal arguments would break out, creating an unsafe environment for children who waited with their mothers for safe water.
After attending a water and sanitation information meeting hosted by ESAF, Pramila met with loan officers and started the application process. Within a month, Pramila had a new water connection for her household and received the greatest gift of all — additional time. Pramila now enjoys more time to prepare food and carry out her daily chores, while her family no longer has to worry about her safety.
Pramila is thankful for the loan and the assistance she received through ESAF.
