Asian Water Access

Water access in India from Water.org

In the slums of India many families share community water points; often 50 families each. Water doesn’t flow 7×24 and usually only a few hours a day leading to lost potential in urban India. Women gather early in the mornings with their water vessels be sure they get water for the day. Unlike rural Africa where women walk long distances for water, in India the water points are close – but the time required for this household task is often no less.
