Meet Doli
Doli used to walk to another village to collect water for her children. Some days her husband would take time from work to carry larger drums to fill with water because the vessels were too heavy for Doli to carry alone.
Doli is one of the 76 million people we have helped empower with access to safe water or sanitation.
Through our work, Doli no longer walks long distances to collect water for her family because now she has long-term access to safe water at home where her family, their finances, and their health have improved.

Fifteen years ago, Matt and Gary worked independently to help break down barriers between people in need and access to safe water. A common goal to pioneer smart solutions to the water crisis brought them together, and their combined water and sanitation expertise and star-power have allowed Water.org to grow into a leader in the water and sanitation sector.
