Summary

This position's primary location is in the Kansas City area. It is also open to remote in the following states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Kansas and Washington, DC.

The Recruiter creates strong business partnerships with internal hiring managers and leads the full life-cycle recruitment process for positions across the globe with support from Regional HR Business Partners in Africa, Latin America, South Asia, and Southeast Asia . The Recruiter develops multiple sourcing channels, including candidate pipelines, to attract the best active and passive candidates, while leveraging technology to ensure an effective and efficient process. This position will also be responsible for building and maintaining excellent relationships with both hiring managers and candidates (both internal and external). The Recruiter is instrumental in delivering and executing against standardized recruiting strategies. This individual will assist in major projects and initiatives vital to the success of the Talent Acquisition team.

Key Responsibilities

Full Lifecycle Recruitment (40%)

Acts as a liaison between candidates, hiring managers, and Human Resources team members for global staffing function. Perform full lifecycle recruitment activities, beginning with sourcing, screening, and interviewing, and ending with offer negotiation/extension. Excellent candidate assessment skills are critical for being able to hire the best available candidate. Conducts sourcing of passive candidates and responsible for targeted sourcing and assessing talent, based on past successes and future business objectives. Coordinate and schedule comprehensive interviews, develop interview question guides, collect feedback, and facilitate hiring discussions with interviewers and hiring managers. Manages references and background check process. Ensure regulatory aspects of the full cycle recruitment process are compliant with laws and according to company policy. Oversee all aspects of relocation for newly hired employees. Utilizes knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams to execute daily work.

Relationship Management (30%)

Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, position specifications, and parameters of search. Establish relationships with hiring managers to assess their job openings and work with them to find the right talent by providing coaching and guidance on external and internal candidates. Builds and maintains relationships with hiring managers to maintain awareness of future staffing needs and requirements. Consults and aids in the decision making of hiring best fit candidate with various positions. Demonstrates professional verbal and written communication skills when working with internal or external partners. Presents information in an articulate, professional, and digestible manner.

Business Knowledge (10%)

Consistently meet or exceed service level agreements providing the highest possible level of service to the business. Understand Water.org’s business and how individual areas contribute to the overall success of the company.

Market Research (10%)

Maintains through ongoing knowledge of market conditions and competition. Responsible for research and analysis of recruiting market trends, understanding implications and recommending solutions.

Project Management (10%)

Assists in various recruitment projects that supports the recruiting team in being a more strategic partner.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent work experience required;
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience with full cycle recruitment
  • Language(s): English (verbal and written)
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
  • 5+ years of experience with full cycle recruitment for niche and senior level roles; including creating job descriptions, establishing recruiting strategy, interviewing, and presenting candidates, and facilitating candidate selection activities.
  • Experience selecting and managing external staffing and recruiting vendors
  • Proven success using proactive, best-in-class sourcing methods and building talent pipelines
  • Strong consulting, and negotiation skills.
  • Working knowledge on best practices regarding the use of independent contractors.
  • Understanding of current federal/state regulations related to employment (. e.g., EEOC, OFCCP).
  • Experience recruiting globally.
  • Bi-or Multi- lingual skills
  • Proficient in applicant tracking methods and Microsoft Office applications.
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and ambiguous environment preferred.
