Meet Mercy and her mom. They are from Kenya. Mercy wants to go to college one day so she can help improve her family's income. She walks hours a day to get water, and it’s not safe water. Mercy has some ideas on how to solve this problem. We are here to help empower her family to take action.
There are 2.2 billion people who, like Mercy and her mom, need access to safe water. People living and dying for water while trying to raise families, make a living, and build communities. They are people with financial power, rights, and the capabilities to define their own futures. They know the specific needs of their communities and what will work; we have resources that can help make it happen.

Water.org partners with financial institutions in 15 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to help them offer affordable loans for safe water and sanitation solutions. People in need use these loans for taps, toilets, storage tanks, and piped connections to their homes.
