On the sun-filled morning when we met, Rosalyn's attention was focused on her young daughter who was playing and laughing nearby. Each time Varsat hopped in and out of the neat lines of herbs and vegetables making up their neighbor's garden, she laughed at her own newfound agility. And each peal of laughter brought a bigger smile to her mother's face.

The smiles they wore were due in part to the water connection and private toilet standing in their backyard. Having these necessities available right at home gives Rosalyn the time each day to be a mom, and gives Varsat the ability to run, and jump, and laugh, and play. Rosalyn summed everything up simply, telling us "[a] woman needs clean water."
